Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov met his Turkish counterpart Professor Ahmet Davutoglu as part of his official visit to the Iranian city of Urmia, Trend cites the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry's press service. The Washington Post reported that two Iranian warships withdrew their application to transit the Suez Canal after Israel expressed concerns over the plans. The official said no reason was given for the decision to withdraw the application.
